Standout dishes like the frog legs and dry-aged king fish have received high praise, although some items like the Angler potato and aged cod were less memorable. We recently celebrated my boyfriend's birthday at Angler, and it was an unforgettable experience. We indulged in caviar, bread, lobster, steak, sashimi, and dessert, and every dish was exceptional. The quality and presentation of the food were top-notch, and the flavors were simply amazing. The ambiance was perfect for a special occasion, and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend Angler for anyone looking to celebrate a special event or simply enjoy an outstanding meal. We'll definitely be back!

Angler is a great spot with some standout dishes like the frog legs, house rolls, and dry-aged king fish--all seriously delicious. On the flip side, the Angler potato and aged cod were just okay, nothing too memorable. Service was spot on, and the decor is super cozy with amazing views of the bay, especially on a sunny afternoon. And I've got to mention--random but important--their restroom napkins are the best quality paper I've ever used, hands down! Definitely worth checking out for the atmosphere and the hits on the menu.

Decided to check out Angler with a friend to celebrate our birthdays and opted for their lunch set. The service was great and they made us feel so special with a birthday card each and a special candle on our dessert. Loved the chic decor inside the restaurant. We got seated close to a window and had great views of the bay bridge. Overall enjoyed the food and was pleasantly surprised by the portion size of the main entree. Loved the fresh oysters and the fish for the main course won me over. Would recommend their lunch set menu!

I still think about Fluffy banana pancakes Paired with caviar It has been four years Since I last dined at this spot Right before COVID

Angler has been my favourite seafood restaurant in SF (so far) and the black bass was to die for. The sauce was dreamy. The only let down was the dessert, which we didn't love.

I had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant, thanks to the wonderful service provided by June. She was incredibly polite, attentive, and went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect. June's warm demeanor and helpfulness truly elevated our evening. Highly recommend!

I've only come here for happy hour, but the food and drinks here are great! I loved the seasoning on the frog legs, but my favorite thing that I tried was the soft serve ice cream. Highly recommend getting! There's indoor and outdoor seating with a nice view. The service is friendly and fairly quick for how busy it gets. Although the menu is on the pricier side, I'd like to come back and try other food options and definitely grab another soft serve ice cream!

Ambiance: casual Service: attentive Came during lunch and the menu is a bit smaller, but not bad at all! They also have a lunch deal for $38 which includes a starter, entree, and soft serve! Food: Everything here is delicious, but the one dish that has been on my mind is their Hot Fried Frog legs ($24)- taste like chicken, is so tender and full of flavor!! a must get!!

Angler is a really interesting place. The walls are adorned with countless pieces of taxidermy. It feels a little much for my liking, but whatever. Started off with the Embered Oysters; really smoky and flavorful. The Bluefin Tuna and Rice Crisp had an unexpected twist. The tuna came topped with like a tangy terrine/jelly-like substance. I appreciate when a dish brings a different dynamic. The Fried Frog Legs were fine. They tasted like frog dishes served in Chinese restaurants where you would be getting it for half the price. I really like how the lobster was served with the tomalley. Usually I only get to eat it when making lobster at home, and it feels like such a waste when places don't seem to put it to good use. It comes with some bread that was a bit dense and a nice sauce made from lobster shells. The Angler potato was really good and would have went well with some caviar probably. It's kind of like a potato gratin but the potato and cheese parts are separate and intact. The soft serve is good, I'm not sure what I was expecting but it's not too different from soft serves you get a dessert places other than the caramel sauce and what I think are cacao nibs. My friend and I both agreed that it's very phallic looking hahaha... I enjoyed the experience and would come back again.
